Speeches in the Senate
The Senate Chamber, pictured above, is an impressive and sometimes intimidating place. Although I do not make a lot of speeches in the Senate (I prefer to do my talking in Senate Committees where much of the "real" work is done), I am always honoured to be able to represent the Northwest Territories in Parliament. Please click on the pages below to read some of the things I've said in the Red Chamber. Since the 2006 election, I have a slightly different role in the Senate. Although the Liberal party still holds the majority of Senate seats, we are now the opposition. As such, I have the opportunity, from time to time, to ask questions of the Government. Click here to read my first Senate question and the response. When I ask more questions, I will add a permanent page.
